A Few Words About Us
Farmgate Organic was founded in year 2016 with the sole aim of connecting markets out of realization that there is a missing link between farmers and consumers and vice versa. It is registered under the Business Names Act
We have been connecting farmers with markets mainly in the following enterprises:
- Avocados fruits -Hass variety
- Avocado seedlings -Grafted hass variety
- Sweet potatoes-yellow fleshed tubers and vines
- Strawberries-Chandler variety
We also grow the above mentioned crops in our farms and also contract farmers in and outside Kirinyaga County where we are situated.
We have been working closely with Organic Consumers Alliance (OCA) to promote organic farming for good health of our consumers and also satisfy the fast growing organic agriculture market in Kenya. We encourage climate smart agriculture to mitigate climate change challenges facing agriculture for sustainability.
